About New Voices

New Voices is a community organization which runs media education programs which promote personal and community development.

Beginning in 2009, New Voices service programs have engaged high school students and their community partners, individuals from diverse socio-economic, racial and national backgrounds to develop their unique points of view through the lens of the camera. In the course of over 50 artistic collaborations, high school students have established personal relationships with their community partners, supporting them as they build a new sense of confidence and dignity through the process of developing and sharing their creative work.

New Voices projects have also been part of the Fotofocus Biennial of Photography in Cincinnati (2012-2018)

New Voices director David Rosenthal leads each photo program and has been creating community photo projects and teaching photo classes to students from primary school age through adults in schools and universities since 2001.
